Basil, Sweet
Aromatic herb used in cooking. Slight clove scent. Used to make pesto and in spaghetti sauces. Easy to grow on the window sill.
Magical uses: Burn basil to cleanse negativity from your house. It brings good luck to your home, sprinkle it around. It is a cleansing herb so use it in ritual baths.
History: Basil was used to embalm egyptian mummies. In India the basil is sacred to both Krishna and Vishnu.

Allspice
Allspice - Pimemta dioica
Tastes like a combination of cloves, juniper berries, cinnamon and pepper.
May be found in any spice aisle at the supermarket in dried or powdered form.
This tropical evergreen is found primarily in Jamaica but is found in the West Indian Islands and South America and also in Central America.
Allspice is seasoning agent for foods and also makes a nice aromatic incense when burned.
